Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Your main tasks: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
