Immediate opening: trowel-trade bricklayer (Iowa)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Allamakee County, Iowa. You will work at a renovation and extension job. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Day to day you will spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings.
