Now hiring: we are hiring a hand presser in East Carroll Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a garment factory. The role involves give each garment a final press before packing; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
