Catering cook — Kings County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a catering cook in Kings County, California. You will be based in a hospital or office canteen. Ideal candidate: • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies On a typical shift you will prepare the mise en place before each service; check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO; monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks; prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch; label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in; marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases. Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
