Paint and prep technician — Charleston County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a paint and prep technician in Charleston County, South Carolina. You will work at a dealership paint shop. Day to day you will mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio; wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs; wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying; apply body filler and block-sand to a smooth contour; apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun; blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair. Requirements: • 2+ years' experience in automotive refinishing • Good eye for colour matching and blending • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns Six days a week, one day off. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
