We are recruiting: industrial sewing operator (Iowa)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Van Buren County, Iowa. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day to day you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
