Safety officer — Chickasaw County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety officer in Chickasaw County, Mississippi. You will work at an oil and gas facility. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites Day to day you will stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry.
