Join our team: we are hiring a TIG welder in Shawnee County, Kansas. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Part-time with flexible hours.
