Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Requirements: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Day-to-day duties: • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. ₦220,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
