Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment presser in Shelby County, Iowa. You will be based at a garment factory. Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Day-to-day duties: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $4,300 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
