On the job you will handle: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator You should have: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
