Immediate opening: GTAW welder (Rhode Island)

Now hiring: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Bristol County, Rhode Island. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage On the job you will handle: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Full-time, day shift. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
