Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Wells County, Indiana. You will work in a heavy machinery workshop. What we are looking for: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Day to day you will set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio.
