Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Howard County, Iowa. You will work at a busy iron foundry. The role involves make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours.
