Great opportunity: foundry operative (Anambra State)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Anaocha, Anambra State. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Your main tasks: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
