Fettler • Saki West, Oyo State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Saki West, Oyo State. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. You will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
