Great opportunity: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in DeKalb County, Georgia. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. You will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; carry out 6G pipe welds where required. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances 5+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
