Fettler wanted in Appanoose County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Appanoose County, Iowa. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Your main tasks: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings We offer $170 per day plus benefits.
