Urgent requirement: we are hiring a crane rigger in Otsego County, New York. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Day to day you will direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings. 1+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
