Immediate opening: we are hiring a panel welder in Mercer County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy production line. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety You will control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead.
