Gas metal arc welder — Travis County

Join our team: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Travis County, Texas. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Day to day you will lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration. You should have: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes 1+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $26 per hour plus benefits.
