Backhoe operator — City of Hampton

Vacancy available: we are hiring a backhoe operator in City of Hampton, Virginia. The role involves strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse; swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly. Requirements: • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
