Urgent requirement: toolroom milling operator (Illinois)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Cass County, Illinois. You will work at an automotive components factory. Requirements: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron The role involves: • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges 5+ years on the tools preferred.
