Urgent requirement: furnace operator (Kentucky)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Robertson County, Kentucky. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant Part-time with flexible hours.
