Your main tasks: • Measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line • Mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting • Replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers • Shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer • MIG-weld and spot-weld new panels into place • Mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour Requirements: • Skilled in MIG welding and panel replacement • Good eye for panel gaps and body lines • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding $130 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
