MIG welder wanted in Paulding County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a MIG welder in Paulding County, Ohio. You will be based on a structural steel site. Your main tasks: • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety 1+ years on the tools preferred.
