Furnace operator • Lauderdale County, Tennessee

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Lauderdale County, Tennessee. Your main tasks: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards We offer $2,700 per month plus benefits.
