Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Umatilla County, Oregon. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules You will place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
