Now hiring: we are hiring an overhead (EOT) crane operator in Saint Mary's County, Maryland. Day to day you will set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone. Requirements: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Understanding of hand and radio signals • A good head for heights for tower crane work Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
