Great opportunity: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana. You will be based on a structural steel site. Requirements: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings You will read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness.
