Sand plant operator • Bedford County, Tennessee

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Bedford County, Tennessee. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Pay around $3,200 per month, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
