On a typical shift you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Overtime paid at a premium rate.
