Now hiring: we are hiring an excavator operator in Sioux County, North Dakota. The job is in an open-cast mine. The role involves excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely; break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension. Ideal candidate: • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
