Now hiring: we are hiring a rebar foreman in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements On a typical shift you will keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings.
