You should have: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings On the job you will handle: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
