Horticulturist wanted in Municipal Area Council

Immediate opening: we are hiring a horticulturist in Municipal Area Council, Federal Capital Territory. You will work in a botanical garden. Requirements: • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance The role involves check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed.
