Now hiring: vertical transportation technician (Kansas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Wilson County, Kansas. You will work in a machine room on the rooftop. Day-to-day duties: • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays Ideal candidate: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
