Immediate opening: we are hiring a moulder in Spink County, South Dakota. On the job you will handle: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Rotating shifts.
