Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Yazoo County, Mississippi. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Day to day you will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $18 per hour, based on your experience.
