Slinger signaller — Steuben County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Steuben County, Indiana. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. Day to day you will take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. $130 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
