Urgent requirement: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Smyth County, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers You should have: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Part-time with flexible hours.
