Vacancy available: we are hiring a ladle pourer in La Crosse County, Wisconsin. The job is at a busy iron foundry. The role involves: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Rotating shifts.
