Join our team: we are hiring a cement mason in De Soto Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a precast concrete yard. Your main tasks: • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls You should have: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
