Argon arc welder wanted in Valley County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Valley County, Montana. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding On a typical shift you will set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
