We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Cumberland County, Illinois. Requirements: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium On a typical shift you will change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Share your details and we will call you back.
