Now hiring: HSE officer (Rivers State)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a HSE officer in Ogu Bolo, Rivers State. The job is at a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Day to day you will audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS).
