Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Jewell County, Kansas. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On a typical shift you will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols 2+ years on the tools preferred.
