Structural MIG welder • Grundy County, Tennessee

Vacancy available: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Grundy County, Tennessee. You will be based at a steel fabrication workshop. You should have: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Day-to-day duties: • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness Rotating shifts.
