You should have: • A good head for heights and steady balance • Able to read roof pitch and set the falls On a typical shift you will strip old shingles and felt back down to the deck; install metal flashing around chimneys and skylights; torch on bitumen membrane across flat roofs; hang box gutters and downpipes for rainwater; seal joints and penetrations with mastic and lead flashing; insulate and ventilate the roof void.
