Ideal candidate: • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips • Confident with manual handling and load securing • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience The role involves: • Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
